A Passport is required for travel to Portugal. No passport, or an invalid one, means no pilgrimage! Most non-EU Passport holders require a Visa. Passports need to be valid until at least 3 months after return (6 months for non E.U. Residents).

There will be quite a lot of walking on this pilgrimage, so you will need to bring shoes you are comfortable walking in – also a hat, sunglasses, suncream, light jumper/cardigan - and an umbrella in case it rains!

On Easyjet flights the baggage allowance is 20 kg. The pilgrimage includes the cost of one checked in bag, to go in the aircraft hold, and one piece of cabin baggage (max dimensions 55 x 40 x 20cm).

The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) - The E111 form is no longer valid. You will need a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to receive necessary health care during a visit to Portugal. Your own travel insurance will be supplementary to EHIC benefits. The easiest way to get one is to apply online via: https://www.ehic.org.uk/Internet/home.do – and don't forget to bring your usual medicines.

Flight times etc., are subject to delays etc., which are obviously beyond control.
